rpm installs for SME Server

The old stable release is SAIL-2.6.x and you should not install it.

The current stable release is SAIL-3.1.x and you may install it on SME Server 8.x with Asterisk-1.8.x or better, however we would recommend you install 4.0.0 if this is a new install.

The current development release is SAIL-4.0.0 and you should install it on SME Server 8.x with Asterisk-1.8.7 or better or on Debian Wheezy.

The current beta release is SAIL-4.0.1 and you should install it on Debian Wheezy with Asterisk-1.8.7 or better.

Which SAIL rpm should I install?

for new installers.-

You should install 4.0.0 on SME 8.x or Debian Wheezy.

deb installs

The current development release is SAIL_4.0.0 and you should install it on Debian Wheezy with Asterisk-1.8.13 or better.

SAIL 4.0.0-54+ has been tested by Ap.Muthu on Debian Squeeze in an OpenVZ Virtual Machine. Since OpenVZ generally uses venet0:0 as the ethernet interface and SAIL uses eth0 hardcoded in OSSEC and other scripts, it is necessary to configure the Virtual Machine in Bridged Ethernet mode (veth0).
